Information you provide
Muse AI processes prompts, text, selected files, images, project instructions, and other content you choose to provide. When online AI features are activated, the content needed to fulfill your request may be transmitted securely to the configured AI, search, image, or storage service.
Accounts and purchases
The public web version can be used in guest mode. If account synchronization is activated, the service may process your name, email address, account identifier, session information, subscription entitlement, and usage counters. Microsoft handles Microsoft Store payments; the publisher does not receive or store your full payment-card details.
How information is used
- Provide chat, research, image, code, voice, file, and project features you request.
- Save preferences and guest history on your device.
- Verify paid access and enforce usage limits when subscriptions are enabled.
- Prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and protect service availability.
Storage and retention
Guest-mode data is stored in browser local storage and can be removed using the application's deletion controls or your browser settings. Server-side data, when enabled, is retained only as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and complete deletion requests.
Service providers
The service may use Microsoft for Store distribution, purchases, and entitlements, together with contracted AI or infrastructure providers required for requested features. Each provider processes relevant information under its own terms and privacy practices.
Sharing and security
The publisher does not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers needed to operate a requested feature, when required by law, or to protect users and the service. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can use guest mode, avoid submitting sensitive information, delete local chats and projects, clear browser storage, or use the in-app account deletion control when an online account exists.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13. Users must meet the minimum age required in their country and by connected services.
